Click Here GFC KERR MINISTRIES KIDS YOUTH SMALL GROUPS History of Gateway Fellowship Kerr Gateway Fellowship Church Kerr County began with a simple but powerful yes to God's vision: to help meet a growing need in Kerr County for a church where people could truly belong and grow in faith. What started as a small group gathering in a home quickly outgrew the living room within three months. God opened the door for the church to begin meeting in a local barber shop, where people were giving their lives to Jesus and getting baptized in horse troughs right in the parking lot. As more people began calling GFC Kerr their home, the church transitioned into a mobile church at the Dietert Center in Kerrville, Texas. Even without a permanent space, the church family continued to grow through Sunday services, small groups, and a deep sense of community. In 2023, God provided in a powerful and unexpected way when a local church felt called to give GFC Kerr their building—completely free of charge. This generous gift gave GFC Kerr a permanent home in Ingram, Texas. Since then, the church has expanded to three Sunday morning services and continues to see lives transformed. From a house to a barber shop, to a mobile church, to a permanent home, the story of GFC Kerr has always been about trusting where God leads. Our mission remains the same: Helping Friends Become Devoted Followers of Jesus. With a heart for multiplication through small groups and a passion for regional impact, GFC Kerr is committed to reaching more people across Kerr County and the Texas Hill Country with the hope and truth of Jesus.

MEET PASTORS OSCAR + CHARLIE EMAIL OSCAR EMAIL CHARLIE About Oscar and Charlie Dominguez Oscar and Charlie Dominguez are the Lead Pastors of Gateway Fellowship Church Kerr County, Texas. Beginning as a small group in 2017 to a church plant in 2019 with a heart to help friends become devoted followers of Jesus and the vision for the Texas Hill Country. Oscar and Charlie have been married for 16 years and are the proud parents of Psalms and Selah. Together, they continue to lead Gateway Fellowship Church with humility, faith, and a commitment to seeing lives changed in the community. Graduating from Gateway School of Ministry, while serving for over 22 years in ministry in the local church, their vision for the Texas Hill Country is to multiply. make disciples who make disciples that will multiply small groups, so that the church will be equipped, trained, and sent into other communities to launch small groups and plant more churches.

LEARN MORE soap SOAP Daily Bible Reading Plan At GFC, we believe the Bible isn’t just a book—it’s a way God speaks directly to us. SOAP is a practical and personal way to engage with Scripture. It stands for Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. As you walk through each step, we encourage you to journal your thoughts. Writing things down helps you remember what God is teaching you and creates a space to reflect on His faithfulness over time. S – Scripture Start by reading a passage of Scripture—don’t rush it. Take your time and invite God to speak as you read. Highlight or write down one verse that stands out to you. This is the verse you’ll focus on during your SOAP time. O – Observation What is happening in this verse? What stands out? Ask the Holy Spirit to give you insight and understanding. Think about what God might be trying to show you. Then, write the verse in your own words and describe what you observe. What’s the context? Who is speaking? What truth is being revealed? A – Application Now make it personal. Ask yourself: “How does this apply to my life today?” Maybe it speaks to a current situation, a mindset shift, or something God is asking you to do. Be honest and specific as you write. The goal is to live out what you’re learning, not just read it. P – Prayer Finish by praying about what you’ve read. Ask God to help you apply it, to change your heart, or to give you strength to follow through. Write your prayer down, and be sure to take a moment to listen. God often speaks when we slow down enough to hear Him.
